Salvation Army & Partners work together to keep kids warm over the winter

Mar 16, 2021 | by Rick Reigner

With the help of its partners, the Elgin Corps distributed more than 1,200 new winter coats to kids in need. "The requests for winter coats were great this past winter and thanks to the generosity of our partners, we were able to respond to the needs of our community. We could not have done this without them", said Captain Rich Forney, Corps Officer. A big thank you to the following partners for their support and generosity including the Elgin Kiwanis Club, Elgin Lion's Club, Elgin Breakfast Rotary Club, Elgin Township, Harvey  & Ethel Daeumer Foundation, Karen & Daniel Maki, Richard & Carol Leonard Foundation and the Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club. For information on how you can help keep kids warm next winter contact Rick Reigner, Resource Development Director at richard.reigner@usc.salvationarmy.org or call 847-741-2304 ext. 308.
