The Salvation Army seeks to walk alongside households to address energy crises. The Salvation Army of Evansville offers help to current CenterPoint Energy customers with bill payment assistance and case management services. The goal of these services is to support household financial stability and support the customer in achieving goals they have set for themselves. This application is only applicable for current active residents of Warrick and Vanderburgh County.
You must be a current CenterPoint Energy customer. This includes customers with late/past due bills and pending service disconnection accounts. If your utility service has already been disconnected, you do not qualify for this assistance program.
The person filling out this application should match the name listed on the CenterPoint Energy bill.
You must fall within the income chart listed below.
If you have a current $0 balance, this fund cannot be applied as a credit.
If you have received CAF assistance through us this calendar year, you are not eligible for these funds as we seek to assist as many families in need with the same opportunity.

Income Chart:
The program is available to CenterPoint Energy customers who may fall into the income - eligible guidelines listed in the chart below, which is more inclusive than most federal assistance programs.
Completion of this application does not guarantee assistance.
After completing this application, we will be in contact in 5-10 business days through the phone number or email address you provide in the application.
You will need to upload a photo or file copy of your government issued ID and your most recent CenterPoint Energy bill.
Please note: The aid provided may not cover the entirety of a customer's bill amount. Any outstanding balances will still need to be paid to prevent service disconnection.
The average time to complete this application is approximately 7-10 minutes.
This application needs to be completed in one sitting. Please note that if you exit the application before submitting, your information will not be saved.
Please only submit one application per household. Submitting duplicate applications or multiple per applications household will only delay the rate at which we can process all applications.
