Red Kettle Kickoff - New Faces and New Opportunities

Nov 2, 2023

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff will be on Friday, November 3 at 10:00 AM at the Salvation Army
Gymnasium located at 1040 N Fulton Avenue.

Funds from the Red Kettle campaign are used throughout the year in programs available for the wider community. From Financial Assistance, Pathway of Hope, Food Insecurity Programming, and after school programming. With a single hour of ringing the bell helping providing the equivalent of 30+ meals. It’s never
too early to sign up to ring the bell at www.registertoring.com. This year is the official nationwide launch of “Tap to Give” a contactless payment method piloted in Evansville and select Salvation Army locations to offer an alternative to cash donations.

“The Salvation Army Evansville is excited to kick-off our 2023 Red Kettle Campaign! The Christmas season is more than fundraising and gifts; the red kettle represents the power of our community working together to lift up our neighbors-in-need. Every dollar in every red kettle is given straight back to the community through services available to the wider community. With your help, a few hours of your time, we all can change lives this Christmas season!” – Captain Brandon Lewis

Media outlets are invited to this press conference-style kickoff and Ribbon cutting event.

  • To highlight this year’s Red Kettle Campaign, with a goal to raise $230,000.
  • With over 10,000 hours available to ring the bell, but only 435 hours of volunteers signed up to ring so far, there is plenty of need and opportunity for the wider community to get involved.
