We Are an Organization
Dedicated to
Doing the Most Good in your community.

Who we Are

The Evansville Salvation Army provides community-based programming and social services plus worship opportunities on Sundays and throughout the week. We have a core team of employees who handle essential jobs and functions, but we rely upon volunteers to help run various weekly programs and events. Without volunteers our programs wouldn't be able to function and we could not help as many people as we do.

Our Local Leadership

Captains Brandon and Megan Lewis -- Corps Officers and SW Indiana Coordinators. Officers are the directors and leaders over the local Salvation Army location. They offer leadership and direction to our programs. In addition, they also preach and offer spiritual guidance and leadership to The Salvation Army church congregation.

Get Involved and Learn More

We offer many programs for those in need in Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Posey Counties. Here are just a few examples of what we do: help with paying past due bills, serving warm meals and groceries, spiritual programs and guidance, youth programming for school-aged children, a donation exchange program to connect donors with clients who need items, and holiday-specific assistance. Some programs we are dreaming about starting are a community center to offer sports programs for local kids, an after school program for neighborhood kids, and perhaps a future thrift store.
