Volunteer Join Here

Whether you are a long-time volunteer or recently joined our team, it's important to know that WHAT YOU DO FOR OTHERS MAKES a DIFFERENCE. We truly value and appreciate each and every faithful volunteer who gives time and talent to support our community through the many programs, services and Social Services we provide at The Salvation Army.

Our mission is simple to serve suffering humanity, in Jesus name, without discrimination.

Volunteers serve as the hands and feet of Jesus and make all the DIFFERENCE in what we do here at The Salvation Army serving Genesee County.

We depend on our volunteers!

“You are not here in the world for yourself. You have been sent here for others” – Catherine Booth

UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

While many of our volunteer opportunities take place during the Christmas Season (Be a Bell Ringer), many volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year. Our Emergency Disaster Services assist emergency responders as needed. After school tutoring and life/sports coaching opportunities are also available year-round. You also support the work of The Salvation Army by joining The Salvation Army of Greater Flint's Women's Auxiliary, or by organizing a drive for food, coats, toys, personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies for distribution through the Toy Shop and Social Services Department. Please call Becca Gonzalez 810-869-8711 to request collection boxes or become a volunteer.

“Do your little bit of GOOD where you are; it’s these acts of kindness put together that changes the world.” Make a difference in the lives of others this year and into 2024 by “Doing the Most Good”
