How we help empower youth
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: We have partnered with Detroit Public Schools to offer affordable after school care for children grades K-12. We have a Community Center Director that assists high school students in developing leadership and interpersonal skills. Our program offers a literacy program, physical education for all ages and Character Building. We also provide a snack and a meal each day.
SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROGRAMS: In addition to our After School Program, our Community Center offers the following events and programs throughout the year:
- Summer Day Camp (June-August)
- Back to School Neighborhood Rally: Assisting school age children with clothing, book bags, haircuts and more to assist them on their way back to school. (August)
- Harvest Festival - Community event for school aged children with, fun fellowship, food and prizes (October)
- Community Center Christmas Party for School aged children (December)
- Youth Basketball League Throughout School Calendar Year
