Save Someone From a Life of Enslavement. You Can Help.

More than 150 years, The Salvation Army has been advocating for the rights of women and children subjected to organized commercial sexual exploitation. We continue to fight for the abolition of sex trafficking worldwide.

Throughout Eastern Michigan, The Salvation Army partners with local coalitions to raise public awareness of the injustices of human trafficking. By planning prevention activities and working to reduce the demand for commercial sex and forced labor, we prevent future victims. By providing support in all forms, we are a place for survivors to experience renewal and restoration.

As human trafficking survivors recover and begin to build new lives, their needs range from items like laundry and kitchen items, to assistance with utilities, access to therapy, and many other things that are required to gain independence. This is where you come in!

In the spirit of Doing The Most Good for survivors of human trafficking, The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division, has created a fundraising opportunity for people who are interested in making the Detroit Free Press/TCF Marathon experience more meaningful. Runners of virtual race distances can raise funds to support the needs of human trafficking survivors.

Go to freepmarathon.com to register for your virtual race and follow the prompts to register. Within the registration form process, you will be asked "Would you like to run on behalf of a charity?" Click the drop down box and choose The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division. We will be alerted to your interest in raising funds and you will be contacted by a Salvation Army staff person with more information.

Make sure to join our Facebook group for updates and encouragement!
