Hope Marches On With Toys, Meals, and More
For the last few weeks all around Metro Detroit, Salvation Army volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to prepare toy bags and holiday meals for families in need. From Pontiac to Conner Creek, our corps community centers provided families with presents, food boxes, and holiday cheer - everything needed for a happy holiday.
"We had even more families sign up than last year, and we took some additional walk-ins as well," says Lieutenant Anil Kumar, who serves at the Farmington Hills Corps Community Center. "We received so many words of thanks as we brought the gifts and food boxes out to people's cars. We're grateful to be able to serve and help the way we do! It's the support of our community and the trust that our neighbors place in us that make this possible."
