Service on the Circle

Mar 18, 2024

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center is proud to announce “Service on the Circle,” an outreach event marking the rehabilitation center’s 75th Anniversary in Indianapolis. The event is scheduled for Friday, March 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. Harbor Light Center staff and volunteers will pass out 250 specially packed Care Kits while supplies last.

The Care Kits contain essential items tailored to provide immediate aid and support and will include:

  • NARCAN©, a life-saving drug crucial in combating opioid overdoses

  • Fentanyl and xylazine test strips

  • Informational materials detailing available services and resources at the Harbor Light Center

These Care Kits will help to meet a growing need in our community and are symbolic of The Salvation Army’s enduring dedication to the welfare of Hoosiers. In addition to these offerings, Service on the Circle will also feature live music, refreshments, and a dedicated prayer team that will be available to extend spiritual support and comfort to those in attendance.

“Service on the Circle symbolizes our ongoing commitment to extend a helping hand to those facing adversity,” said Dr. Alicia Hoskins, Executive Director at the Harbor Light Center. “Through compassionate outreach and unwavering support, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.”

Service on the Circle is the first of four planned special events commemorating the Harbor Light Center's remarkable 75 years of service to Hoosiers from across Indiana. Since its inception, the Harbor Light Center has remained steadfast in its mission to provide comprehensive substance use disorder, mental health, and other addiction services to those in need. With an impressive 83% success rate in client rehabilitation, the center continues to set a standard of excellence in care and support.

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center is located at 2400 N. Tibbs Avenue on the west side of Indianapolis. If you or someone you know is in need of our services, please call 317-972-1450 or visit SAHarborLight.org.
