Learn More Here Our Stance On Racism

The Salvation Army's mission is presented equally to all people

We Serve All Who Seek Help...

No matter what race, gender, faith, orientation or background that makes up who someone is - The Salvation Army has services and programs available to meet the needs of anyone in our local communities.

We Empower All Who Want to Help...

No matter what race, gender, faith, orientation or background that makes up who someone is - The Salvation Army's mission welcomes staff and volunteers into positions that support our efforts to Meet The Greatest Needs.

The Salvation Army is an advocate to all

Our Mission statement clearly expresses this stance:

“The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

This mission has taken our work all over the world, to more than 130 countries. In all of these communities we meet people who exemplify the beauty of diversity and they always have a home in The Salvation Army's mission. Any instance of discrimination, local or otherwise, is a direct opposition of our core beliefs and policies.

Bringing Truth to Light

Third parties and independent media sources have a history of reporting false or misleading information regarding The Salvation Army's stance on diversity.

The Heartland Division, and The Salvation Army internationally, will always work to provide the truth for all to clearly understand who we are. With your help, the truth can be shared to combat rumors, speculation and lies that are commonly spread and create misunderstandings about The Salvation Army's work.

Do your part and educate others around you about the true Salvation Army mission - we meet all who are in need through our services/programs to ensure the long lasting happiness, growth, love and strength of our communities.
