Powering The Salvation Army Impact across Iowa

Oct 15, 2021

The Alliant Energy Foundation has awarded The Salvation Army locations serving Iowa communities $40,000 that will go directly towards feeding programs, food pantries & similar local services that meet those facing hunger or food insecurity. This generous gift comes from Alliant Energy's commitment to helping its customers by taking advantage of opportunities like this partnership with The Salvation Army. That is why they created the Alliant Energy Foundation: to build stronger communities with strong equity for all!

We are proud that our Iowa Corps are all a part of this life changing gift, and we thank Alliant Energy for showing their support by funding these local food services and programs. Every year this part of our mission meets men, women and children of all ages who are in need of a warm meal. Nourishing the mind, body and soul is a core part of The Salvation Army's history and we continue that today through the variety of year-round and seasonal supportive food services. As our mission is Doing The Most Good every day, it is partners like Alliant who make this possible by using Energy For Good and caring for the communities they serve!
