Hallador Energy Company Doubling Donations to Salvation Army Red Kettles in Sullivan Co.
Company is challenging shoppers to match their generosity December 13 and 14
The Salvation Army of Sullivan County is getting ready for two busy days of fundraising that could make a big impact to their programs and services in 2025. On Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14 all donations made to Red Kettles across Sullivan County will be doubled up to $1,000 thanks to a gift from Hallador Energy Company.
"Hallador has been such a terrific supporter of The Salvation Army," said Michele Smith with The Salvation Army of Sullivan County. "They really stepped up when tornadoes hit our community back in 2023, and they're back with this kettle match at a time when we can really use the boost!"
Over the 6-week Red Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army aims to raise the funds necessary to continue to provide impactful programs like Coats for Kids and the annual Back to School Blitz. The emergency financial assistance program helps households throughout the year and each summer dozens of Sullivan County children get to experience summer camp at The Salvation Army's Hidden Falls Camp in Lawrence County. These programs help to lift up those in need and improve the quality of life for Sullivan County residents.
Volunteer bell ringers are needed to sign up for 2-hour shifts to ensure that every Red Kettle can be out each day of the match. Individuals, groups, and families are encouraged to visit RegisterToRing.com to sign up for the date, time, and location of their choosing. Volunteers can also call (812) 699-5730 to find out which shifts are still available. Red Kettles will be placed at a Walmart, Baesler's Market, and Save A Lot in Sullivan.
