Stuff the Bus is Back
For kids, school supply shopping is an exciting end-of-summer prospect. New backpacks and folders make kids feel confident and ready to start the school year. But for many parents, it’s a stressful experience and a struggle to make ends meet while providing for their children. With finances already tight, fulfilling the long lists of basic school needs means having to miss a bill payment or forego other necessities.
This weekend, August 6-8, you can help provide a child with the resources they need to succeed in school with the Stuff the Bus program, brought to you by Walmart and The Salvation Army!
For years, The Salvation Army and Walmart have worked toward the shared goal of supporting local families and filling gaps for those in need. This year, we have partnered with Walmart for our third annual Stuff the Bus event as a way of providing readiness and removing financial stress for families around the country.
You can support The Salvation Army and Walmart’s efforts by:
- Purchasing school supplies at your participating Walmart store. Once purchased, please place your donations in the Stuff the Bus display at the front of the store.
- Check out your local Salvation Army’s online Registry for Good to purchase items for donation virtually. Simply click and purchase, and your donations will go straight to your local Salvation Army Corps!
Your generous donations will be distributed to local children through Salvation Army Corps programs. Thank you to Walmart for supporting The Salvation Army’s efforts and making it possible for us to meet the needs of Indiana families!
