Social Services

Our Social Services office provides once per year rent and utility payments to those in need. We have limited Gas Cards for those in need provided by Johnson County Community Foundation. Cards are given to individuals on a one time per year basis.

We provide weekly Case Management through The Salvation Army Pathway of Hope Program and the United Way of Johnson County No Place to Call Home Programs to help clients facing homelessness or needing assistance through times of needs. Our office Hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Recovery Services

We host weekly Celebrate Recovery meetings at The Salvation Army on Monday nights. Please contact Salvation Army office for more information about recovery groups.

The Johnson County Red Shield Center helps with overdose prevention by providing Narcan and fentanyl strips located outside of our building 24 hours a day.

Financial Literacy Classes

The Salvation Army Johnson County Will Host Elements Financial Services as they provide financial education services to participants within the Johnson County Community. Elements Financial services with host an Understanding your budget course curriculum monthly along with bimonthly series of topics such as Understanding your credit and more. The goal of the courses is to help educate families on how to maintain a budget and learn resources that will help you consolidate your debt.

Thrift Store

We do not accept Donations at the Johnson County Red Shield Center. Please deliver all donations to The Salvation Army Thrift Store located at 1285 N State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46142.
