Ways that YOU can help "Do The Most Good!"

Love Beyond the Season

Many people think The Salvation Army is synonymous with Christmas time, and while that is true, we are continually serving all throughout the year. The Salvation Army officially began serving Grand Rapids in November of 1883, the first corps to serve Michigan. Since then, The Salvation Army has impacted millions of lives by providing a continuum of care that includes food, shelter, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, youth programs, anti-human trafficking initiatives, emergency disaster services, housing and utility assistance, and spiritual guidance, among many others, to those in need. Today, The Salvation Army in Kent County has grown with the city to meet the needs of its most vulnerable citizens through its Fulton Heights Citadel, The Ray and Joan KROC Corps Community Center, and a wealth of community services programs. In short, we're there wherever and whenever there is a need.

While a dollar or two placed in a red kettle at Christmas time certainly helps, it's through the gifts and sponsorships of organizations like yours that allow us to enrich the mind, body, and spirit of the children, families, homeless, and elderly of our community. Truth be told, the benefits multiply far beyond the initial gift. It makes our community a better place to live. It allows The Salvation Army to continue its work. And it rewards the sponsor with the knowledge that it has made a significant contribution to the place we all call home.

In 2025 we have multiple opportunities to sponsor a Kent County Salvation Army event. The dollars raised will help us continue to do the most good in our community. We appreciate your thoughtful consideration and generosity.
