Holiday Hockey Helps Those in Need
The Annual Grand Rapids Griffins Red Kettle Game is an event presented by The Salvation Army in Kent County, Michigan. The game not only raises awareness for The Salvation Army's Red Kettle holiday campaign but also collects funds to support those in need in Kent County during the holiday season and beyond.
This year’s game was held December 1, 2023. Thank-you Diamond Sponsor UFP Industries, and Hylant Group of Grand Rapids, the Gold Sponsor.
Lynn Afendoulis of UFP Industries served as our Honorary Christmas Chair this year and dropped the puck to start the game! At the end, special Grand Rapids Griffins Jerseys were auctioned off to benefit The Salvation Army in Kent County! And the Griffins won the game!
