Volunteers Are Our Partners in Doing the Most Good
Happy National Volunteer Week! Volunteers – our partners in Doing The Most Good – are crucial to The Salvation Army of Kent County being able to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. No matter the time of year, volunteers are the heart of our team and are always needed. Helping with tasks big or small truly makes a difference and helps change lives in our community.

Consult with your employer too – some may offer you the day off to volunteer!
Food Pantry (1215 Fulton Street East)
We are looking for volunteers to help in unloading and organizing product. Morning (9 a.m. – noon) and afternoon (1 – 4 p.m.) shifts are available Monday thru Friday.
Fulton Heights Senior Program (1235 Fulton Street East)
Volunteers are needed to help with tasks associated with events, from setting up tables to event clean up and everything in between.
Little Pine Island Camp (6889 Pine Island Dr NE)
To prepare for on-site campers this summer, assistance is needed May 13-14.
Thursday, May 13 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., we are looking for 8-10 able-bodied volunteers to help with manual labor tasks including installing posts, digging, carrying pieces of the playground, using hand tools and more. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Friday, May 14 from 8 a.m. to completion, we are looking for 20-24 able-bodied individuals to help with manual labor tasks including assembling the playground, installing borders around the area, raking and more. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
