Cole Hardwood Matching Red Kettle Donations

Dec 18, 2023

Bells will ring a little louder on these final days of The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign thanks to a Christmas gift from Cole Hardwood. All cash donations put into Red Kettles December 20-23 will be doubled up to $2,500 because of this generous matching gift. This means that every $5 turns into $10 and has twice the impact on the services provided to the community.

As inflation and job loss affects more local households, financial and food assistance programs are becoming more vital than ever. The funds raised by Red Kettles each fall help to ensure that The Salvation Army can continue to meet the needs of struggling residents while providing regular programming and services to people of all ages the community.

"We are humbled by the generosity of Cole Hardwood for this $2,500 kettle match," shared Randall Birk of The Salvation Army Logansport Corps. "We love working with community partners who love working with the community. Thank you so much to Cole Hardwood for stepping up and being a partner with us during this kettle season. The Salvation Army has served Cass County for over 117 years and long-time support like this has made our ministries possible."

The commitment and support of local businesses like Cole Hardwood helps The Salvation Army provide vital ministries to communities across Indiana.

"This has been a hard year for many Hoosiers, and I’m inspired to see companies like Cole Hardwood stand up to help their neighbors in great need," said Major Marc Johnson, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army Indiana Division. "My prayer is the generosity of Cole Hardwood will inspire people to give more in the kettle, especially since their donation will make twice the impact. Every dollar dropped into a Red Kettle changes the course of lives for good and works to bring hope over despair."

Shoppers looking for a Red Kettle on these final shopping days before Christmas will find bell ringers at Walmart, Big Lots, and D&R Market.
