The Salvation Army to Hold Its 5th Annual Radiothon
On Friday, August 3 from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, The Salvation Army of Grant County, in partnership with Hoosier AM/FM and 1400 WBAT, will be holding its 5th annual Radiothon presented by Taylor University. The Radiothon will be held to help raise funds for The Salvation Army’s local programs and services for those in need. Throughout the day, The Salvation Army and other community partners will be sharing how The Salvation Army is making a difference in Grant County and how people can help.
“The Salvation Army’s annual Radiothon helps us end our year fiscally well,” said Lieutenant Blake Fewell, corps officer of The Salvation Army of Grant County. “With the support of our sponsors and the generous gifts of community members, we can continue helping people in need and Doing The Most Good right here in Grant County.”
The Salvation Army is hoping to raise $10,000 in the twelve hours to support its local programs and services.
The Salvation Army will have volunteers answering the phones all day to accept pledges and to thank donors. There will also be incentive prizes and matching gifts throughout the day to encourage donor support. Listeners are also encouraged to interact with The Salvation Army on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to find out more about how The Salvation Army is Doing the Most Good in Grant County.
Donations are already being accepted on The Salvation Army’s website. Donations can also be dropped off at 1400 WBAT on the day of the Radiothon at 820 S. Pennsylvania Street in Marion or at The Salvation Army’s office at 359 N. Bradner Avenue in Marion.
