Salvation Army Hosting Multiple Feeding America Mobile Food Pantries
First Mobile Food Pantry in Marquette on Feb 13th
MARQUETTE COUNTY — A Mobile Food Pantry will be held on February 13, 5:00 to 6:30 PM at The Salvation Army, 1009 Baraga Avenue, Marquette. 15,000 pounds of food will be delivered and distributed to up to 300 families suffering from food insecurity. Additional mobile pantries have been scheduled for March 11, April 16 and May 28 to be held at the same location and same times.
The community is asked to spread this word quickly, as the funding for this first event has just become available. Families are asked to bring sturdy boxes or bins with them to transport their food. While the distribution will be indoors, families are asked to dress warmly as they wait for the distribution to begin.
The distributions in February and March are possible due to a generous gift from the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians and Kewadin Casinos. The April distribution is possible due to a generous gift from the Superior Health Foundation. The noon Rotary Club of Marquette will assist with the February distribution.

In the Marquette County service area, 90 cents of every dollar raised is used to support programs and services.
