Make your miles meaningful. Join The Salvation Army in Doing the Most Good in greater Chicagoland, northern, and central Illinois. Team Salvation Army runners of all backgrounds will further the mission of The Salvation Army locally by raising funds to relieve hunger, provide shelter, combat addiction, prevent evictions, nurture children, and more to help our neighbors in need.
Team Salvation Army runners training for the Chicago Marathon will receive fundraising tips, local stories of encouragement, and direct support from our development team!
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
With fellow teammates, you’ll be #RunningTheMostGood to help The Salvation Army provide essential resources to those most vulnerable. Learn about all the ways your dollars are doing good. We are proud to share that 83 cents of every dollar raised goes directly into programs (national average for The Salvation Army is 82 cents per dollar).
Sunday October 13th, 2024
New registrants who are accepted must raise a minimum of $1,750.
By signing up to run with a Team Salvation Army fundraising bib, you are taking on the responsibility to fundraise the minimum in full. We cannot pair your bib with a different runner if you drop out. We would like runners to understand that signing up to fundraise with a Team Salvation Army charity bib is a responsibility, and we appreciate your commitment to raising or personally donating the entire fundraising minimum to The Salvation Army even if you should become unable to race for any reason.
