Chicago NFL Draft EDS Special Duty Volunteer Training Exercise April 28 & 29
On April 28 and 29 volunteers participated in a hands on training exercise that consisted of stocking and driving a canteen, preparing and cooking a hot dinner to serve Chicago EMT personnel. At the close, they followed clean up and shut down procedures and returned the canteen to quarters.
“ Special Duty at the Fire Academy for the NFL draft was a great learning experience. I received thorough training on the canteen which refreshed and reinforced canteen procedures plus provided new and more indepth knowledge of the canteen. Meeting and interacting with the fire department personnel was a bonus.”
