EDS participates in 2016 National Guard Patriot Annual Domestic Operations Exercise

The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division Emergency Disaster Services Department took part in the 2016 National Guard Patriot annual Domestic Operations Exercise in Wisconsin from July 18 – 21, 2016.

The exercise was from July 18 – 21. The EDS Metro Division ESC Team partnered with National Guard chaplains to provide field support for civilian survivors during the four day exercise.

EDS Metro Division canteens with volunteers participated in the exercise at Fort McCoy providing hydration and feeding. The EDS Emotional & Spiritual Care Team worked alongside military chaplains.

Emergency Disaster Services brought our refrigerator truck filled with 4500 pounds of ice to serve over 1500 participants from a number of agencies. Additionally, a canteen was deployed to Fort McCoy for hydration and feeding.
