House Fire Practice Drill in Cherry Vale, Illinois

Dec 12, 2016

On December 10th, an abandoned house was selected for a practice drill by firefighters in the Rockford area. Every room was set on fire and First Responders were required to safely reach each room to check for people trapped and “rescue” victims.

The Salvation Army canteen support was requested, exactly as would occur in a real disaster, during this 9-hour drill.

Our volunteers, Char Hale and Scott Allshouse assisted for this special duty.
