McDonald's Fight for $15 Protest

Jun 1, 2016

Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Volunteers participated with over 350 Law Enforcement Personnel at an actual protest, assisting from two staging locations. Hydration is imperative during the long hours that First Responders are on scene. Volunteers plan and prepare meals for large groups and organize time for efficient service to agencies. Practice using equipment and driving canteens helps volunteers develop competence and enforce safety procedures ensuring a seamless response to disaster call outs. A thunderstorm rolled in during the afternoon requiring some quick thinking and fast adjustments to service.
