Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Canteen feeds First Responders at Air & Water Show
The City of Chicago's 2017 Annual Air and Water Show was this past weekend August 18 - 20, and The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Services Canteen #117 was present feeding and hydrating our first responders.
It's the end of Summer and Chicagoans know its time to look to the skies. All eyes were turned heavenward as the 59th Chicago Air and Water Show entertained one and all with the U. S. Navy's Blue Angels and The U. S. Army's Golden Knights, among others.
The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services was proud to be there providing over 500 meals for our police and fire personnel, along with over 1,000 bottles of hydration and more than 1,500 snacks and chips.
