Update on Flooding in the Lake County Area

Jul 20, 2017

The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Service has been actively serving and supporting the hundreds of families affected by the widespread flooding in the Lake County area. From July 12 and up to July 17 EDS Volunteers and Staff have provided (flood clean-up kits, hydration, and food). Over these six days (July 12 - 17) and at multiple locations EDS Volunteers and Staff served over 650 meals and snacks and over 500 various kinds of drinks to the volunteer sandbaggers, clean up crews, and families affected by the flooding.

EDS Volunteers: Donna Ceglarek, Ted Allchin, John & Jan Patela, Tim Drabant, David Byrne, Laurie Osberg, Dennis Ash, Joey Logan, and Matt Bruce with the EDS Staff worked hundreds of hours to provide support and relief to those in much need of it. A special thanks to our EDS Volunteers who serve so freely and out of compassion to those in need.

The Salvation Army EDS will be involved with the MARC (multi-agency-relief-center) to further support the many families who lost much of their property to the flooding and are in need of further assistance starting today July 19 and going to Saturday, July 22nd.
