Provide hope to hardworking families this season

Help The Salvation Army make spirits brighter this Christmas through various holiday programs in the greater St. Louis Metropolitan area.

Adopt an Angel:

Every Christmas, there are children who do not receive gifts because their families are struggling financially and cannot afford the expense. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program has been running for over 40 years to ensure that these children have a wonderful holiday season with their families.

Through gifts from friends like you, just over 4,000 Angels were adopted last year. We're relying on donors like you to help us ensure boys and girls across the greater St. Louis Metropolitan area experience all the joy that Christmas has to offer. At this time, monetary donations are the best way to help us meet this goal. (A gift of $100 gives the gift of a Christmas they'll never forget!)

DONATE NOW

Adopt-A-Family:

The Salvation Army works with families that have experienced a crisis over the past year such as a house fire or major illness. These families will need more than toys to help them become whole again. Generous donors may choose to adopt a family by completing the form. You will then be contacted by the Adopt-A-Family Coordinator to match you with a fitting family. Contact this email for more information Mid.Adopt@usc.salvationarmy.org or call 314-646-3000.

Host an Angel Tree at your Business/Organization
(In-Person or Virtually):

The Salvation Army could not brighten the holidays for families without the generosity of the community. Your group may choose to put up a tree this season and we would like to help you decorate it with Angels available for adoption.  To find out how to host an Angel Tree (In-Person or Virtually) contact the Angel Tree Coordinator, Lauren Shelton at Lauren.Shelton@usc.salvationarmy.org or call 314-646-3000.

Host a Toy Drive:

Each year The Salvation Army has more toy requests than we can handle on our own. We need generous partners like you to help us provide thousands of toys to children. If you or your group would like to host a toy drive for The Salvation Army, please contact the Angel Tree Coordinator, Lauren Shelton at Lauren.Shelton@usc.salvationarmy.org or call 314-646-3000.

Volunteer:

The Salvation Army could not fulfill its mission as effectively without the assistance of dedicated volunteers who share their skills and time to enhance our programs. We have one-time, short-term, and long-term opportunities for individuals and groups at locations throughout St. Louis City and St. Louis County. Volunteers are needed to sort, bag, and distribute toys throughout November and December. Contact the Volunteer Manager, Shawndell Williams, to sign up at Shawndell.williams@usc.salvationarmy.org or call 314-646-3000.

Virtual Red Kettle:

The Salvation Army is bringing the traditional kettle experience online! We are leveraging the iconic visual of the red kettle and giving the public the virtual experience of donating to their local Salvation Army. Virtual Red Kettles allow the community to support their neighbors in need and participate in the traditional red kettle experience, all without ever leaving their homes. It is a socially distant way to give back this holiday season! Start your virtual kettle on November 1st!

Kettle Pay:

The Salvation Army now has smart chips and QR codes on red kettle signs, allowing shoppers to simply “bump” or scan their phone to make a customizable online donation. Shoppers will be directed to a custom donation page that accepts Apple or Google payment options. The funds will be distributed to local Salvation Army units based on the donor’s billing ZIP code, and an email receipt will be sent directly to their phone.
