The Salvation Army helps make families whole.

As long as there's The Salvation Army, there's no such thing as "no place to go".

Donate Now

Across the US, 11.3 million children take care of themselves after the school day ends.

Through our community center and social services, we equip families with the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual support they need to foster better, brighter futures.

"The Salvation Army taught me how to advocate for my family and access other services, and that we are not alone".

The Salvation Army meets families wherever they are in life and help them move to a more self-sufficient and productive path.

The Salvation Army equips families in our community

We open our arms and our hearts to give families the support they need to grow together and thrive. Families are the foundation of our society and we give them the programs and support they need to become strong, successful and productive.

Open Gym Program

The Salvation Army community center in Jefferson City has a new Open Gym program on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Pathway of Hope

A comprehensive case management system to help families identify barriers to self-sufficiency (unemployment, insecure housing, lack of job skills, lack of childcare, etc.) and ways to address them by connecting with community support organizations and more. Learn more about Pathway of Hope.

Homelessness Prevention & Emergency Assistance Programs

The Salvation Army provides emergency assistance to help with mortgage/rent, utility bills, clothing, medication bills, and other needs in order to keep families in their homes. Emergency clothing vouchers are distributed every Thursday from 9am-12pm.

Rental and utility assistance applications can be picked up at our Social Services office Tuesdays-Fridays from 9am-2:30pm. Applications will be accepted after the 1st of each month.

For more information or support: contact our Corps Community Center, call the United Way Emergency assistance hotline at 211.
