Midland Division Leadership

Major Robert Mueller, Divisional Commander
Major Lisa Mueller, Divisional Leader for Officer Development

Majors Bob & Lisa Mueller

Bob and Lisa Mueller met as teenagers while Lisa’s parents (Majors John and Alberta Cunard) served in the Metro Detroit Area.

They were married in 1984 and built their life and family in Metro Detroit. Bob worked for 17 years in the automotive and robotics industry as a machine designer, while Lisa worked in marketing and communications for two Detroit area firms. While their careers were fulfilling, God revealed to them in 1995 that they could best serve Him as Salvation Army Officers.

With their three children, they entered the College for Officer Training from the Plymouth, MI Corps. Their first appointment was the Minneapolis (Citadel), MN Corps. After five years, they became Division Youth & Candidates Secretaries for the Northern Division for four years.

After five years at the St. Paul (Citadel), MN Corps, they served for three years in Western Michigan Northern Indiana Division as Divisional Secretary/Kent County Coordinator (Bob) and Divisional Secretary for Program (Lisa).

Their next appointment found them in Green Bay, WI for four years at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center as Senior Kroc & Congregational Life Officers, Brown County Coordinator, and Green Bay (Union Court), WI Corps Officers.

Taking their love of the Green Bay Packers with them, they served in Rochester, MN for another four years before returning to Detroit in the newly created Great Lakes Division as General Secretary (Lisa) and Divisional Secretary for Metro Detroit Area Command (Bob). After one short year in Detroit, the Mueller’s were appointed as Divisional Leaders in the Midland Division.

They have three grown children, Steve (and wife Charlotte), Samantha (and husband Jake) and Cyndi. Rounding out the family are lots of pets and three amazing grandchildren: Summer (age 16) and twins Grayson and Asher (age 6). This entire group lives in the Twin Cities, MN area.

Majors Mueller love family and friends, but most of all, walking alongside those as they seek and grow in right relationship with Jesus.

When not busy serving God and man, Bob plays pickleball and golf, and performs card tricks. He also enjoys canoeing, fishing, and camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Lisa loves to read and relax whenever Bob is playing outside.

The Mueller’s feel humbled and privileged to serve the Midland Division.
