ST. LOUIS COMPANIES CONTRIBUTE TO UKRAINE HUMANITARIAN RELIEF
With the ongoing war crisis in the Ukraine, The Salvation Army has been all hands onboard in helping the millions of people displaced and hurt by the conflict.
That vital assistance includes generous gifts from numerous St. Louis companies, including Ameren Corporation.
It is through gifts such as these that our vital emergency operations continue where they are most needed, including on the other side of the world.
The Salvation Army encourages other businesses to give during this moment of need in Ukraine.
According to Salvation Army data, more than 2.3 million Ukrainian refugees crossed the borders into neighboring countries, including the Republic of Moldova and Romania, for the two weeks ending on March 16.
During this two-week period, The Salvation Army distributed 3,116 cooked meals and 1,556 food parcels and accommodated more than 2,000 adults and children with shelter at Salvation Army and non-Salvation Army buildings.
We pray for those affected by this tragedy.
