THE SALVATION ARMY WELCOMES ST. LOUIS LEADER LEE HAYNES AS ITS NEW MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
The Salvation Army Midland Division is excited to announce we have a new Marketing and Communications Director, Lee Haynes, a prominent leader in St. Louis’ African American community.
“The need to help people is ever so pressing,” Haynes said. “With my new role and support for The Salvation Army’s mission, I can't wait to promote our services to improve the lives of people in our community.”
Lee comes to us after a successful five-year tenure as Resource Development Director for St. Louis’ Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis. She led several high-profile fundraising events, including the Table for Four luncheon, Casino Night, and the Great Futures Gala. She managed community affinity groups Women’s Leadership Circle and Friends of the Club, along with corporate partnerships including Neiman Marcus, Michaels Stores, All State, and Ross Stores.
A graduate of Fontbonne University, Lee is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and The Links, Incorporated. She sits on the boards for the National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse and The Tennessee Williams Festival. Lee has received recognition from Delux Magazine (POWER 100 Honoree, Community Builder), Radio ONE (Phenomenal Woman Award), and the National Council of Negro Women Gateway Metropolitan Section (Legacy Award for Outstanding Community Service).
Lee is versed in media relations, with more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing for outlets such as KSDK 5, KPLR 11, St. Louis Magazine and the New Times.
