GRACE AND JUNE'S LEMON-AID STAND FOR GOOD RAISES A RECORD AMOUNT
Grace and June's Lemon-Aid Stand for Good, with the help of 19 other stands, raised a record amount on Saturday, September 2, with a total of $12,023.
In 2019, Grace asked her mom if she could have a lemonade stand with the intent to donate all the proceeds to a local charity. Kellea instructed her to consider what organization for which she'd like to raise money. Intending to raise $100 for the Quincy Salvation Army, Grace surpassed her goal by $900. She and her parents appreciated the financial support and encouragement from family members, out-of-town friends, and the Quincy community.
In 2021, June joined her sister in fundraising for The Salvation Army. The girls raised $2,320, surpassing their goal of $1250 or 500 meals for families in need. In 2022, Grace and June continued their tradition of lending a hand up to those in need by inviting the community to join them in Doing the Most Good and hosting Lemon-Aid Stands across The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command service area.
In 2023, the sisters recruited 19 other Stands for Good and raised a record-breaking $12,023. Having raised over $23,000 to date for The Salvation Army, Grace and June are excited to see what 2024 will bring for their fundraising efforts.
