LOCAL BUSINESSES PARTNER TO DOUBLE IMPACT ON SALVATION ARMY'S KETTLE DONATIONS
James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal and O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home of Quincy are teaming up to amplify the spirit of giving this holiday season. On December 20, these compassionate businesses will generously match every $20 bill donated to The Salvation Army's kettles in Hannibal (up to $1,000) and Quincy (up to $1,500), providing an extraordinary opportunity for the community to make an even greater impact.
Development Director Matt Schmidt expressed gratitude, stating, "We are thankful that James O'Donnell Funeral Home and O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home have offered to match $20 bills donated on December 20. This is a great opportunity for people in both communities to double their donations by simply dropping a $20 bill in any red kettle on December 20."
The Salvation Army's Christmas Campaign has already raised $197,403 toward the $435,000 goal in Quincy and $57,069 toward the $122,000 goal in Hannibal. The community's support is crucial in achieving these targets and ensuring that The Salvation Army can continue providing essential programs and services to families in the counties of Adams, Pike, and Brown in Illinois, as well as the counties of Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe, and Shelby in Missouri.
