The Salvation Army is Accepting Applications For Christmas Assistance This Week

The Salvation Army will accept applications in Quincy for Christmas Food Baskets and Toy Town during the week of October 12. Anyone wanting to apply for assistance can visit The Kroc Center located at 405 Vermont between 1-4pm Monday through Wednesday and 1-6pm Thursday through Friday. 

Please note the updated list of documentation needed: 

Applicants should bring a photo ID, proof of guardianship of children such as a birth certificate or medical card showing children’s names and birth dates (social security cards will not be accepted), proof of current address such as a piece of mail (driver’s license will not be accepted), and proof of income from the last 30 days if not currently stated on their medical card. 

Quincy Catholic Charities’ registration days will be November 2-20 and November 30-December 4 from 8:30am-12 and 1-4:30pm. Registration will be held within their facility located at 620 Maine Street. 

The Quincy Salvation Army serves the counties of Adams, Pike, and Brown in Illinois.
