The Salvation Army Kicks Off “Christmas in July” Toy Drive to Support Local Families
The spirit of giving is heating up this summer as The Salvation Army launches a “Christmas in July” Toy Drive, an initiative to stock the shelves early for the Angel Tree Christmas Campaign.
The event kicks off Thursday, July 17, at the Doggy Paddlers Game, where participants are encouraged to bring a new game or toy for an opportunity to play Plinko and win a prize!
Then, from Monday to Friday, July 21–25, the fun continues at The Kroc Center with the “Game On for Good” promotion. Anyone can bring in a new board game, puzzle, or toy for a chance to play Plinko and win a gift card from a local business.
All toys collected will benefit The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Christmas Campaign, which provides holiday gifts to children in need across the Quincy area.
Why Play? By participating in “Christmas in July,” community members help grow the inventory for the holiday season—ensuring The Salvation Army can continue Doing the Most Good when it matters most. In 2024, more than 600 children and seniors received gifts and clothes through the Angel Tree program.
