THE SALVATION ARMY OF HANNIBAL ANNOUNCES CONCLUSION OF THE 2021 TREE OF LIGHTS CHRISTMAS
The Hannibal Salvation Army Christmas Campaign Chairs, Justin and Brooke Gibson, have announced the completion of a successful 2021 Christmas Campaign. The Hannibal campaign goal of $115,000 was exceeded with a total raised of $124,290.71.
The Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign is The Salvation Army’s major fundraising effort each year. Money raised during the campaign helps provide funding programs and services that assist individuals and families in Hannibal and the surrounding Northeast Missouri communities on a daily basis throughout the year, as well as Christmas assistance.
The need for assistance to the people of the Hannibal area community is a constant, which The Salvation Army takes very seriously, especially during this campaign.
This holiday season, The Salvation Army of Hannibal provided 800 food boxes containing a full Christmas meal to families and senior adults in Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe, Shelby, and Pike counties. In conjunction with Toys for Tots of Northeast Missouri, 8,730 toys were distributed to 1,221 children.
The Salvation Army is grateful to the 241 volunteers from the Hannibal area, who donated 505 hours of volunteer service to help make all of this possible.
The Salvation Army appreciates the many individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses that supported our effort by donating food, toys, time and money to make the 2021 Christmas Campaign a success.
