THE SALVATION ARMY OF QUINCY ANNOUNCES CONCLUSION OF 2021 TREE OF LIGHTS CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN
The Salvation Army of Quincy Christmas Campaign Chairs, Mandar and Laura Dighe, have announced the completion of a successful 2021 Christmas Campaign. The Quincy campaign goal of $435,000 was exceeded with a total raised of $470,420.
The Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign is The Salvation Army’s major fund raising effort each year. Money raised during the campaign helps provide Christmas assistance as well as funding programs and services that assist individuals and families in the greater Adams, Brown, and Pike County areas on a daily basis throughout the entire year.
The need for assistance to the people of the Quincy area community is a constant, which The Salvation Army takes very seriously.
This holiday season, the following assistance was given in the Quincy service area: 800 food baskets were distributed, 1,864 children received 13,901 toys in conjunction with Toys for Tots of Quincy, 625 meals were served on Thanksgiving, and 250 meals were served on Christmas Day.
The Salvation Army is grateful to the 823 volunteers who donated 1,619 hours of volunteer service to help make all of this possible.
The Salvation Army appreciates the many individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses that supported our effort by donating food, toys, time and money to make the 2021 Christmas Campaign a success.
