THE SALVATION ARMY OF QUINCY ANNOUNCES CONCLUSION OF RECORD-BREAKING 2022 CAMPAIGN

Jan 20, 2023

The Salvation Army of Quincy Christmas Campaign Chairs, Josh and Tieraney Craig, have announced the completion of a record-breaking 2022 Christmas Campaign. The Quincy campaign goal of $435,000 was exceeded, with a total raised of $507,343.

The Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign is The Salvation Army’s major fundraising effort each year. Money raised during the campaign helps provide Christmas assistance and funding programs and services that assist individuals and families in the greater Adams, Brown, and Pike County areas daily throughout the year.

The need for assistance to the people of the Quincy area community is a constant, which The Salvation Army takes very seriously.

This holiday season, the following assistance was given in the Quincy service area: 732 food baskets were distributed, 189 Angel Tree families representing 634 people received 2,346 clothing items, 1,955 toys, 1,564 gifts such as personal care items, home goods, and gift cards, 350 meals were served on Thanksgiving by 54 volunteers giving 240 hours, and 85 meals were served on Christmas Day.

The Salvation Army is grateful to the 529 volunteers who donated 1584 hours of volunteer service to help make all of this possible.

The Salvation Army appreciates the many individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses that supported our effort by donating food, toys, time, and money to make the 2022 Christmas Campaign a success.
