THE SALVATION ARMY OF QUINCY ANNOUNCES THE CONCLUSION OF THE 2024 CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN

Jan 23, 2025

The Salvation Army of Quincy is proud to announce the successful completion of its 2024 Christmas Campaign, led by campaign chairs Mike and Jean Buckley, along with their daughters, Sara Terwelp and Megan Costigan. Thanks to the generosity of the community, an impressive total of $460,756 was raised, exceeding the goal by more than $20,000. These funds helped provide more than 600 hot meals during our community Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, along with 1200 Christmas food boxes to families in need. These funds will continue to support essential programs and services that benefit individuals and families across Adams, Brown, and Pike counties throughout the year.

In addition to celebrating the campaign’s success, The Salvation Army is pleased to recognize the winners of several special campaign challenges:

  • Captain Kettle Mascot Challenge: Quincy Notre Dame High School
  • Golden Bell Award: Quincy Noon Kiwanis
  • Ring for Bling Contest: Karla Fessler

The Salvation Army extends its sincere gratitude to all individuals, organizations, and businesses that contributed to the campaign by donating food, toys, time, and financial support. Their generosity and dedication have played a crucial role in making this year’s campaign a resounding success.
