THE SALVATION ARMY OF QUINCY GIVES CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN GOAL UPDATE
The Salvation Army of Quincy has announced that the Christmas Campaign has raised $422,533 to date toward the $435,000 goal in Quincy.
“We are thankful for the generosity of our community,” stated Major Trevor McClintock. “There are still a few weeks left of the Christmas Campaign, and we have faith that we will reach our goal. The red kettles may no longer be out, but need knows no season. Donations made to the Christmas Campaign help The Salvation Army give a hand up to those in need year round.”
These funds are needed to help support our social services programs and services such as food pantry, rent and utility assistance, life skills classes, disaster services, Pathway of Hope, and our employment assistance program, which helps provide work clothing, certifications, transportation, etc. to individuals who need a hand up in getting a job. Funds raised through this campaign also help provide Christmas food baskets, toys for children, and the community holiday meals.
Tax-deductible donations to The Salvation Army can be made by cash, check, charge, or by calling or stopping by The Salvation Army at 405 Vermont Street in Quincy. Donations can also be made by texting “DONATEQUINCY” to 24365. The charitable IRA rollover also provides another way of supporting The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is also accepting Venmo (@SALVATIONARMYQCYHAN) and Paypal (@TSAQCYHAN).
