THE SALVATION ARMY TO HOLD MINI-BUCKET BLITZ DAYS IN MISSOURI COUNTIES

The Salvation Army of Hannibal will bring its popular Bucket Blitz to small towns in the organization’s service area. Bell ringers will be located in Monroe City on November 30 at the four-way stop at North Main and Business Highway 36/24 from 10am until 3:30pm. Bell ringers will then be in Shelbina on December 1 located at the four-way stop at Highway 15 and Business 36 from 10am until 3:30pm. The final Mini-Bucket Blitz will be on December 4 in Palmyra where bell ringers will be located at the four-way stop at Main and Ross from 8am until 2pm.

All proceeds from The Salvation Army Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign with a goal of $115,000 provide a variety of programs and services to assist families in need in the counties of Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe, and Shelby in Missouri.

Following are a few examples of ways The Salvation Army has given a hand up to our neighbors in need:

3288 people were served by the daily bread line.

692 food boxes were distributed.

37 families received utility assistance.

54 families received rent assistance.

 

Also, during the 2020 Christmas season:

 

800 families received Christmas food boxes.

1,575 children received toys for Christmas- 19,305 toys were distributed in partnership with Toys for Tots of Northeast Missouri.
