THE SALVATION ARMY TO HOLD MINI-BUCKET BLITZ IN PITTSFIELD
The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command will bring its popular Bucket Blitz to Pittsfield on November 30. The Salvation Army will have bell ringers located at the four-way stop at Memorial and Jefferson from 10am until 2pm.
All proceeds from The Salvation Army Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign provide a variety of programs and services to assist families in need in the counties of Adams, Brown, and Pike in Illinois.
The following are a few examples of ways The Salvation Army has given a hand up to our neighbors in need:
3,109 individuals received assistance from The Salvation Army of Quincy.
1,489 food boxes were given to the community.
31 households received utility assistance.
129 renters received rent assistance.
716 individuals received 6,935 nights of lodging in our emergency shelter.
Also, during the 2022 Christmas Season:
785 families received Christmas food baskets.
5,905 toys were given to children.
435 individuals were provided dinner on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
