THE SALVATION ARMY TO SERVE A FREE COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS DINNER
The Salvation Army will serve a free Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, from 11am to 12:30 pm. The dinner will be held at The Kroc Center located at 405 Vermont Street in Quincy. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are highly recommended because there are only two time slots for seating, 11am and 11:45am. The Salvation Army dinner is open to anyone who needs a place to go on Christmas.
Reservations will be accepted from December 1 to 18. Deliveries will be available to shut-ins only with a limited number per household. Shut-ins must provide the following information: name, number of meals, and address when calling to request a meal.
Donations of prepackaged baked goods will be accepted at The Kroc Center between 7:00am to 4:00pm on Friday, December 22. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation towards the meal may mail a check to The Salvation Army at PO Box 75, Quincy, IL 62306-0075.
