THE SALVATION ARMY TO SERVE FREE COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER
The Salvation Army of Quincy will serve a free Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 23, from 11am-12:30pm. The meal will consist of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all the trimmings. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are highly recommended because there are only two time slots for seating, 11am and 11:45am. The Salvation Army dinner is open to anyone who needs a place to go on Thanksgiving.
Reservations will be accepted from November 1-November 17. Deliveries will be available to shut-ins only with a limited number per household. Shut-ins must provide the following information: name, number of meals, and address when calling to request a meal.
Donations of prepackaged baked goods will be accepted at The Kroc Center between 7:00am to 4:00pm on Wednesday, November 22. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation towards the meal may mail a check to The Salvation Army at PO Box 75, Quincy, IL 62306-0075.
