THE SALVATION ARMY WORKS TO FILL THE FOOD PANTRY THROUGH THE 2024 FALL HARVEST CAMPAIGN

Sep 24, 2024

The Quincy Salvation Army, WGEM, Hy-Vee, and Farm and Home Supply have partnered to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations to assist The Salvation Army food pantries in Quincy, Keokuk, Fort Madison, and Macomb during the 38th Annual WGEM Fall Harvest Food Drive.

The 2024 Fall Harvest Campaign will begin with a Stuff the Truck event on Tuesday, October 1 from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Broadway Hy-Vee. The Fall Harvest campaign will run through October 31.

“The Fall Harvest Campaign helps The Salvation Army ensure that our area food pantry will be fully stocked for the winter,” stated Development Director Matt Schmidt. “Regardless of whether a donation is monetary or non-perishable food items, the community can be assured that their donations stay at their local Salvation Army and feeds local families in need.”

When you shop for your family, pick up at least one more item for a Tri-State family in need. When shopping at Hy-Vee or Farm & Home Supply stores, you can make a monetary donation at the register, and you may also donate non-perishable food items or household supplies in the designated bins. Monetary and food donations can also be dropped off at the Kroc Center at 405 Vermont or at the Emergency Shelter and Family Services Center at 501 Broadway.
