VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PACK CHRISTMAS BASKETS FOR THE SALVATION ARMY

Dec 1, 2020 | by Magan Hall

The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers to help pack Christmas food baskets on Tuesday, December 15 at 10am. Volunteers may register by calling Tina Lewis at 217-231-5626.

“In order to have control over the number of volunteers in the facility, due to tier 3 mitigations, anyone wanting to help on December 15 will need to call to confirm their volunteer time,” stated Volunteer Coordinator Jeremy Koren.

Last year, The Salvation Army provided 1604 Christmas food baskets for families in the Quincy and Hannibal area. Contributions to the yearly Christmas campaign help The Salvation Army provide these services and many others during the Christmas season and throughout the year.

The Salvation Army provides a variety of programs and services to assist families in need in the counties of Adams, Brown, and Pike in Illinois and the counties of Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe, and Shelby in Missouri.

Volunteers are an important part of the Christmas season and are needed to assist with many Christmas programs and activities, especially bell ringing. Please contact Jeremy Koren for more information about volunteer opportunities at jeremy.koren@usc.salvationarmy.org or register to ring bells at RegisterToRing.com.
