Homeless Family Enters The Salvation Army Program - Finds Success!
This last Fall Kathryn and her daughter approached us about staying in our Family Enrichment Center.
Mom had been homeless for a couple of years, staying with relatives, friends, and sometimes outside in her car.
Upon hearing about our program here at the Salvation Army, Kathryn moved herself and her daughter into our Family Enrichment Center where they received their very own space while they worked with our staff and volunteers to figure out their next steps.
After a few months of developing and working on goals for her family, Kathryn was able to secure employment, pay off her past utility bill, save money and sign a lease on her very own apartment!
Today, we found out she has maintained her employment, she and her daughter are still in her apartment and are doing very well.
Congratulations Kathryn, we are so proud of you!
