Gateway Citadel Community Center

Providing sports leagues, community programs and children's programming in a Christian Environment

Sports, at a Church?

The Gateway Citadel Community Center has been serving the St. Louis area since 1971.  From a Thursday basketball league that is in its 48th year to a before school program that recently begun, and many activities in between, we minister to the children and adults who come through our doors.  It is our goal to minister to people through recreation activities, community connections and educational needs.

Recreational activities include fitness workouts, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard. Community connections include a TOPS program, volunteer opportunities,  and special events.  Educational needs are met through our afterschool and day camp programs, and physical education classes for home schoolers.

Community Center Director

Cort Hubbard

Cort has worked in the community center since 1987 and has been the director since 2016. His passions include following Jesus, loving his wife, working with children, and sports.

"Ministry begins with a desire to serve Jesus in response to His great love for us. While the ultimate purpose of ministry is to help others to know Jesus, it begins with the small steps of creating programs that meet physical, social, and spiritual needs of others. Ministry cannot be done alone, and must include teamwork, relationship building, partnerships, and community involvement."
