The Salvation Army Angel Tree Toy Town Program
Because of you, a child in our community will have gifts on Christmas morning. The Angel Tree Toy Town program is one of The Salvation Army's highest profile Christmas efforts. Angel Tree was created by The Salvation Army in 1979 by Majors Charles and Shirley White when they worked with a shopping mall in Virginia, to provide clothing and toys for children at Christmas time.
Below is more information about how you can get involved by hosting an Angel Tree, a toy drive, buying gifts online from our Walmart and Amazon gift lists, or volunteer and help us distribute gifts and toys to families.
Host A Toy Drive
To ensure we help more children ages 0-12 this Christmas, we invite you to host an Angel Tree or a Toy Drive with us. All of our toy collection programs are open to businesses, organizations, churches, groups, families and individuals.
- Christmas in July Toy Drive (July 1-31): Collect new toys, books, games, or gift cards.
- Angel Tree Host (Oct. 1 - Dec. 5): Receive generic gift wish tags for Angels (children), and collect them for our distribution.
- Toy Drive (Anytime): Collect new toys, books, games, stuffed animals and gift cards for distribution to Angels.

You can also purchase gifts for Angels through our Walmart and Amazon gift lists. Simply review the items available to purchase, select a gift, and our Angel Tree Toy Town will receive it and distribute it at Christmastime!
